The Challenge
134 Central Avenue, a significant piece of Albany’s history, the former law offices of prominent African American civil rights attorney Peter Pryor, had fallen into disrepair.
The Opportunity
To connect the past and the future by renovating the building, and ensuring the continuation of its legacy by remaining on the front lines of the battle for equity and equality in the Capital City of New York.
The Impact
An important piece of local history preserved while providing a home for a female minority-owned law practice, which was established to meet the needs of a diverse, underserved community.
