Business for Good Announces Donation to CanCode Communities

An organization rooted in serving individuals in the Capital Region who have an aptitude to work in software but lack resources for training.

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]CanCode’s digital literacy program give access to students, as young as K-12, to build their basic computer skills at little to no cost. This opens up opportunities to move into more advanced training, giving them tools to enter the work force and creating a diverse talent pipeline in local communities.

RELEASE — On Wednesday, January 26, Business for Good presented CanCode Communities with a check in the amount of $50,000. From the time its doors opened, CanCode Communities has given their students the tools needed to enter the software and IT sectors, and created access to local employers.

Business for Good and CanCode are aligned in their educational missions. “Business for Good believes that eduation in all forms should be accessible to everyone,” said Business for Good CEO, Jahkeen Hoke. “We are proud to support CanCode Communities in their efforts to provide the community with necessary tools and resources to develop and thrive.”
